   Karpathos is the southern island of the Dodekanese.
The island is located between Crete and Rhodes and connected with both and Athens by ferries and airplanes.

   It's a mounty island with a length of 75 km and a width
of 15 km. The highest mountain, Kali Limni, is 1215 meters high and considered the highest top of all Dodekanese. The island counts twelve villages and eight thousand of inhabitants.
The island is often wind swept and the blustering wind makes
it ideal for wind surfers.

  The traditional dresses still worn by women, especially those coming from the small village of Olympos (located on the northern part of the island), represent a peculiarity of the island and they are worn even during their getting-through daily activities all through the year.The beaches of Karpathos appear very very differently, depending on which coast they are located. The sea, so clear and crystal is often rippled by the wind and you will have the pleasure to dive in such a limpid water. The underwater fauna is rich; it is even possible to meet the monk - seal or to find in one of the thousands of mortises the home of the turtle careta careta.
