Welcome to Rigo Apartments in Kyra Panagia, Karpathos. Our apartments are located just a few meters from the splendid Kyra Panagia beach, easily reachable by foot. Our fantastic island of Karpathos is located between Crete and Rhodes and it's part of the wonderful Dodecanese island complex.

A family run establishment, Rigo is a small complex of traditional apartments. Our Island

Kyra Panagia is one of the most beautiful villages of the island, a small, but beautiful seaside resort. The secret is its exceptional location, because its surrounded be breathtaking natural scenery and one of the most picturesque beaches on the island.

The area is located about 15 km north and on the eastern side of Karpathos island. The visitor can reach Kyra Panagia by car or motorbike easily. The village is situated in a mouth of a valley surrounded by steep cliffs and tall mountains. A hidden gem.

Oleanders, geraniums, mediterranean pine trees and tamarisks make this valley exceptionally beautiful for the residents and for the visitors of Karpathos.

The Beach
  • The beach of Kyra Panagia is extremely beautiful, with turquoise-coloured waters and magnificent rocky seabed. The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs creating a spectacular setting. The pure beauty of the area, the terrain, the light grey pebbles and the crystal waters compose a stunning scenery.
  • On both side of the beach are beautiful rocky formations and cavities, which are interesting places to visit. Parasols, sunbeds, snack bars and showers are available. The best view of the veach is from the chapel’s garden, located on the southern side of the beach.
    The wild beauty of Kyra Panagia is the trademark of Karpathos and one of the most photographed places in the island!

  • Mountains, pristine landscapes, pine groves, traditional villages, turquoise waters and rich history make this island the ideal destination. Old traditions and practices have shaped the locals’ lives and are part of their festivals too. You are welcome to join the celebrations and see how much they like to enjoy themselves in their special traditional way.
  • The oldest finds of human presence on the island date back to the late Neolithic Period (4000 - 3000 BC). Karpathos was the island of the Titans, according to Greek Mythology. In ancient times there were four fortified towns on the island: Arkesia, Vrykous, Karpathos, and Nisyros.
